15 billion euro funding has been allocated in the first two years of Horizon 2020 to finance research and innovation projects. According to the latest statistics, 65 calls for proposals were launched in 2014, in response to which around 34,500 proposals were submitted.
Due to oversubscription in the first round of Horizon 2020 calls, only the most competitive proposals have been selected for funding; however, success rates also varied greatly from topic to topic. 2016-2017 work programmes will soon be published, but at the same time there are still dozens of open and forthcoming calls with deadlines in autumn and winter 2015.
